備受社會關注的陜西富平產科醫生張淑俠拐賣兒童案1月14日上午9時在渭南中院公開宣判。張淑俠犯拐賣兒童罪被判死刑，緩期兩年執行，剝奪政治權利終身，并處沒收個人全部財產。

An obstetrician-gynecologist in Fuping county, Shaanxi province, was given a two-year suspended death sentence at Weinan Intermediate People's Court on Tuesday after being found guilty of child trafficking.
渭南中級人民法院本周二宣判，陜西省富平縣婦產科醫生拐賣兒童罪名成立，并判處死刑，緩期兩年執行。
“拐賣兒童”或者大家說的“販嬰”都可用child trafficking或baby trafficking表示，都屬于“拐賣人口”（human trafficking）。在產婦分娩后，這位醫生通常以“新生嬰兒患有先天性傳染病及先天殘疾”（the newborns suffered congenital disease or disabilities）為由，誘使家屬放棄對嬰兒治療并交由自己處理。之后便與人販子（human traffickers）取得聯系，將嬰兒處理。
“死刑緩期兩年執行”可用a two-year suspended death sentence或者sentence someone to death with a two-year reprieve表示。“死刑立即執行”則是a death sentence with immediate execution，有時簡稱immediate execution。
