報道中的“human trafficking”指的就是“拐賣人口”，也可寫作“people trafficking”或者“trafficking of human beings”。

“Trafficking”另一相應的名詞形式“trafficker”指“干非法勾當者”，相應的，“human trafficker”指的則是“人販子”。

此外，需提醒大家“human smuggling”與“human trafficking”不同，前者指“從事人口走私”，即我們常說的“從事偷渡活動”。
