Guangzhou trees yield fruit for soups

Some Guangzhou people are fond of picking up flowers that have been falling from trees to make soup.

The city flower in Guangzhou is the ceiba. In spring, the city's streets are spread with the flower.

People believe the soup of ceiba flower can help them get rid of heat in their bodies, and is a healthful treat.

And in the season, the falling ceiba flower is available free, the Yangcheng Evening News reports.
