Taiwan singer Meng Tingwei has returned to the
spotlight with the release of her new album "Red Flower", with proceeds
going to poor areas in northwest China.
Meng Tingwei wrote the title
track "Red Flower" after visiting a poor area in Gansu
Province, which lies in northwest China. The experience convinced her to
produce an album to benefit people in need.
She told reporters that her personality did not match the entertainment
industry, which pushed her to end her music career four years ago.
However, she hopes the proceeds of her new album can be used to build
medical facilities in northwest China.
"Red Flower" tells us that as long as we lend a
helping hand, children living in poor areas can grow healthily like red
flowers. The album will be released next Friday.
