GENEVA -- The total number of laboratory confirmed human swine flu infections has risen to 114, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday.

Of the cases, 13 were reported from Canada, 64 from the United States, 26 from Mexico, two from Israel, four from Spain, two from Britain and three from New Zealand,  Keiji Fukuda, the WHO's interim director-general for health security and environment, said.

The cases include seven deaths in Mexico, and one in the United States, Fukuda told a media teleconference.
