China's Li Na made an early exit from Wimbledon but countrywoman Ye Qiuyu, 16, stayed the course to become a Grand Slam champion on Sunday.

Partnering Indonesia's Tami Grende, 17, she won the girl's doubles, beating Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic and Dalma Galfi of Hungary 6-2, 7-6 (7/5).

It was Ye's second tournament success, her previous win coming on the International Tennis Federation tour in Seoul, South Korea, in May last year where she partnered countrywoman Han Xinyun to victory over fellow Chinese Zhang Nannan and Chan Chin-wei of Chinese Taipei.

Ye made her Women's Tennis Association tour debut at this year's Shenzhen Open, partnering Yang Zhaoxuan, but the pair was beaten in the first round.
