Forum debates direction for AR/VR

A forum held in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-town) on Mar 10 discussed the status quo and future direction of the AR/VR industry, according to E-town Newsletter.

Dai Yue, a top official at Hualu Baina, and Chen Xing, a top official at Sina, both gave presentations at the forum.

Starting in 2016, the forum aims to discuss the investment and financing of the cultural and creative industries and enhance exchanges of views between companies involved in the sector.

The total revenue of the cultural and creative industries in E-town hit 108.7 billion yuan ($15.7 billion) in 2016. And the number of companies above a designated scale reached 103.

E-town is to take priority in building an AR/VR industrial chain and will aim to attract more companies involved in AR/VR during 2017 to boost economic development.
