The Second Qingdao Beer Festival, a 14-day event from Sept 20 to Oct 3, 1992, chose a monkey called Shuai Shuai as its mascot. It involved a wide range of activities including water performances and exhibitions. One event, the Economic and Technological Cooperation Talk, displayed more than 2,000 new innovative products and achieved a total investment of 50 million yuan ($8.2 million).
