Enterprises alliance stores promote Chinese brands

Feng Jun, initiator of the Aigo Entrepreneurs Alliance and president of Aigo Digital Technology, speaks at the opening ceremony of the company's first two stores in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

Fifty Chinese private enterprises have joined forces to open 5,000 stores in China to offer their most popular products at special discounts. The project's sixth and seventh stores opened on March 3 in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.

Feature products include Aigo digital cameras, Lenovo cell phones, Chow Tai Seng jewelry, Huiyuan bottled water, and Great Wall dry red wine.

The stores exhibit a unified design created by the Aigo Entrepreneurs Alliance, an association that unites 500 domestic private companies to promote domestic brands and explore international markets.

Feng Jun, chairman of Aigo Digital Technology, who initiated the alliance in June 2011, said at the opening ceremony that the model will save supply costs for enterprises and directly provide customers with top quality domestic products.

He said enterprises should unite to promote Chinese brands and enhance their influence around the world. According to him, the alliance will open as many as 50,000 stores worldwide starting in the latter half-year, helping Chinese brands step onto the world stage.
