Li Yike, 22, of Zhangjiakou city in North China's Hebei province, is studying at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. He learned about photography from his father when he was a little boy.

He likes street photography the most and still sticks to shooting on film.

"Photography is more like memory for me rather than just recording," Li said. "I want to remember the special moments in my life, and when I'm old, I can better think of the past through the photos."

He likes Daido Moriyama's photography the most. "I have been most impressed by his works, titled Shinjuku," Li said.

"I don't like the empty or overly showy pictures," Li added. "I hope viewers can see what Japan is like through my pictures."
