Is homeschooling beneficial or detrimental to children?

I support homeschooling. Let those who want formal schooling have formal schooling. Let those who want to home school their kids, home school their kids. In the past, I used to think homeschooling sucks, because the child would be alone. But there are other activities and clubs that the child can join.

With homeschooling, the child can really focus on what they really like. I didn't learn anything useful in school, plus I was forced to study so many things I had no interest in, so today looking back, it was all a complete waste of time and energy, lost forever. History was so boring, once I actually fell asleep in class, hard as I tried to keep my eyes opened. But still I had to memorize so many useless dates and events that I've completely forgotten today. Everything that is useful to me today, I learned on my own.

I think life would be much happier without the kind of academic pressure we have today, where it's all about grades, and nothing about real learning. Let those who want face get their degrees. Let those who want real knowledge learn from life itself, though life hands you no degrees.

Friends and social life? Where there's a will, there's a way. You don't need to find them in school.
