Members of the Beijing Xueming Art Group get ready to perform on stilts at the opening ceremony of the Daxing Farmers Arts Festival on the outskirts of Beijing January 17, 2008. The festival is a part of activities to celebrate the upcoming 200-day countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games. Walking and performing on stilts is one of the most famous traditional Chinese arts and this group has members between 13 and 26 years old, who began to take up stilt performance since 2005.
