Wudang Mountains is joining hands with Taobao Travel, a comprehensive travel service platform introduced by Taobao, to provide travelers with the convenience of entering scenic spots using their QR code.
The Tmall flagship store of Wudang Mountains Scenic Spot has enjoyed great popularity over the past two weeks after its emergence, owing to its convenient functions. Tourists can easily purchase e-coupons on Taobao Travel via their cell phones or computers.
After payment has been made, a QR code will be sent to the buyer, who can then get through the entrance simply by swiping the code.
Smart Tourism, a world standard introduced by IBM, could pave the way for the future of travel relying largely on Internet technology.
Scanning QR codes to gain admission and the extension of e-coupons are both major elements of Smart Tourism. Currently, Wudang Tmall flagship store has introduced paperless adult tickets and self-service ticket checking.
Wudang Mountains Scenic Spot has said it will take further advantage of Internet technologies using its Tmall flagship store to enhance customer service levels and to keep pace with the development of online tours, individual and self-driving tours.
