A delegation of Shanxi province led by Yuan Chunqing, secretary of the Shanxi provincial Party Committee, is visiting the United States, Costa Rica, and Canada.

The delegation, which left China on May 28, will visit some enterprises and meet entrepreneurs, and members will hold discussions with the governments of the three countries, explaining Shanxi’s social and economic development as well as the policies of pilot zones that aim at building a resource-saving economy. The delegation members aim to discuss economic and trade cooperation, and also cooperation in urban construction, energy exploration and utilization, culture and tourism, and to sign cooperation agreements or memorandum of understandings.
