The famous "Zixiaxian" peonies dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) at the Double-tower Temple, in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, have burst into bloom. This variety of peony has a more-than 400-year history, and this year found the flowers bursting forth ahead of the temple’s more than 6,000 other peonies, and attracting a large number of tourists. |
