9,200 hectares of trees were planted in the year, down 0.9%. Forest coverage reached 38.6%, up 0.8 percent. 22,000 hectares of young growth were cultivated, up 2.1%.

The total output of aquatic products reached 1,124,400 tons, down 0.9%. Of the total, 272,100 tons were from fishing, up 1.9% and 852,300 tons were from farmed fish, a decrease of 1.7%. The combined seawater and freshwater farming area was 52,300 hectares, down 4.7%.

By the end of 2012, power from farming machines totaled 7,977,100 KW, up 1.7%. Farming tractors totaled 206,300 units, up 2.1%. Effective irrigation area was 333,630 hectares, up 0.6%, including 174,880 hectares, up 0.6%, including 174,880 hectares of water-saving irrigation area, up 5.2%.
