To improve the quality of farmers and cultivate new farmers with knowledge, technology and management skills, the Dachuantou town of Kuandian designated the year of 2012 as the "Farmer Education Year".
The town has invited experts and is giving lectures with the assistance of functional departments including the Agricultural Technology Extension Center, Communist Youth League, the Women's Federation, as well as the old and new science association.
With the help of long distance education, legal education and the cultural center in the town, villagers can gain more technology knowledge and practical skills.
The town will hold a total of 30 training classes, covering at least 3,000 local farmers. As many as 200 agricultural technicians and 50 pioneers in science and technology will be trained. Half of the training plan has currently been completed.
