Taekwondo championship for young students in Baotou kicks off

The first Baotou Taekwondo Championship for young students opened in the municipal Olympics stadium, in the city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 12, drawing several hundred students from 19 schools and taekwondo clubs in the city.

Taekwondo has always been popular in Baotou, and in recent years, the city has been active in promoting it, with more groups springing up, improving the competitiveness of the city's players.
The championship closed on Jan 13.
