On April 10, Han Tea Ecological and Cultural Industrial Park (Chibi) welcomed its first batch of visitors from Central China. They came to pluck tea and experience manual tea production.

In 2013, the Chibi municipal travel bureau launched a new tour route, an experience tour for tea plucking and tea production. The bureau plans to explore new markets in Central China after the Beijing - Guangzhou Express Railway is put into operation. Overall branding, planning and promotion will be carried out in 20 cities that will serve as tourism-generating areas in the targeted region. It is expected that 100,000 tourists from Central China will be visiting Chibi annually.

On April 10, the first batch of tourists from Central China arrived, officially launching the new travel routes.

According to an introduction by a tea master in the production department, tea produced manually is more delicate and delicious than those produced from modern mechanics. Here visitors can fully enjoy tea production by themselves. They will be allowed to get closer to nature, experience the fascinating process of tea plucking and production, and learn more about tea products.

The history of tea culture in Chibi can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty (1644-1911). The height of the tea industry occurred in the Qing Dynasty. Yangloudong Tea Producing Co, owner of the time-honored Yangoudong green brick tea brand, is now building an industrial base incorporating tea culture, tea education, tea R&D, tea products demonstration, tea foodstuffs, tea chemicals, tea packaging, tea service sales, tea beverages, tea inspection & detection, and top-grade green tea and black tea processing. It aims to build the largest industrial and cultural tourism base for ecological tea in China.
