Huaqiao International Business Service Park is speeding up efforts to build the second-phase system model of its three-dimensional virtual urban geographic information system.
The second-phase system model, designated to cover an area of 36,000 square meters, aims to show Huaqiao's construction landscape and urban planning and management.
In 2011, Huaqiao began to build the 3D virtual reality system. The first-phase was completed with a database for an area of 10,000 sq m. Since most buildings had yet to be built when the database was first set up, the first-phase database was built based on the design sketches and schemes.
The second-phase construction of the modeling system has adopted an approach of on-site sampling based on renderings.
After completion, the system will show Huaqiao's urban landscape through video images, text, sound, aerial photographs and other types of data.
