Zangke culture

It is believed that the ancient state of Zangke emerged in Southwestern China in the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC).

Tombs, buildings and kilns of the Han Dynasty (206 BC–AD 220) spread across the area of more than 100,000 square meters at Ninggu township, which implies that this area had been developed earlier in ancient times and was deeply influenced by the Han culture.

The site was named as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 2008.
