As many as 300 sets of teaching reference books were sent to teachers at Pingtan Continuation School on July 3.

The books, worth 150,000 yuan ($2,448), were donated by Qianyuntong (Fujian) Pawn Ltd as teaching material for the teachers.

"I am glad that my book was chosen and can be part of this activity," said Lin Wu, author of one of the books, adding that he hopes the books will be helpful for the teachers.

A representative from the company said he wished the books can play bigger roles through the donation.
