The first four companies that have settled in the center are Inano Medical Inc., Viscore Technology, GE Energy, JP Canshielding, concerning the industries of next generation information technology, new energy, new materials, and high-end medical devices. High-profile projects involving local anesthesia products, glaucoma screening equipment and clean energy technology are also expected to be incubated in the center.

ZDG also established an international incubation center in Silicon Valley, in December 2012, and the group also initiated the Zhongguancun-Stanford New Technology Venture Investment Fund. The group hopes to combine funding and the incubation center to find premium programs for Zhongguancun and to support the industrialization of overseas programs in Zhongguancun.

ZDG is focusing on ground-breaking innovation technology programs during its cooperation with Invest Ottawa. It is exploring the management and service mechanism for the programs, and has achieved an integrated system for the selection, incubation, investment and development of the programs. The system includes angel investment funds, domestic parallel investment funds, incubation offices, enterprise mentors and professional consultants. The cooperation has set a very good example for the group’s overseas strategy.

The group is exploring technology exchanges and transfer channels to attract overseas technology that aims to enter the Chinese market. And ZDG also works in close cooperation with countries and regions - including Finland, Israel and Taiwan - by establishing incubation centers and technology transfer centers. ZDG aims to conduct joint technology research with these countries or regions in cloud computing, Internet of Things, mobile internet and new energy automobiles.
