As the number of tourists from Anhui province in China to South Korea increases year by year, several large travel agencies in the province have changed their focus to Gangwon province, which has more tourism resources than two traditional destinations -- Seoul and Jeju Island in South Korea.
Since Anhui and Gangwon signed an agreement this May, the communication and cooperation between the two sides has reached a new level. Huangshan Mountain in Anhui received over 400,000 South Korean tourists this year.
In addition to some Huangshan-based travel agencies, several large provincial agencies, including China International Travel Service (CITS), are actively planning Gangwon travel routes. In order to attract Chinese tourists, Gangwon Xiangyang International Airport is planning to open charter flights to Chinese cities, including Hefei.
