Painting New China

, an exhibition at Beijing's Dadu Museum of Art, is dedicated to the "Red classic art" that was born between 1949 and 1976 to reflect social progress in agricultural reform and industrialization.

The works on show mark the artistry of 20th-century master painters, including Lin Fengmian, Wu Zuoren and Shi Lu, whose paintings mirror the extraordinary social and international political climate at the time. Their brushwork combines excellent techniques and a revolutionary style.
