"Kingsman: The Secret Service" has topped the China box office on its opening weekend, grossing over $24 million?in just three days in theatres.
The British spy comedy stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Taron Egerton.
It's believed the recent visit to China by Colin Firth has helped push ticket sales for "Kingsman" higher.
Peng Sanyuan's "Lost And Love," starring Andy Lau and Jing Boran sits second in the Chinese box office, grossing just under $13.5 million?this past week.
"Taken 3," starring Liam Neeson,?ranks third with?$13 million.
Last week's box office topper, Disney's live-action "Cinderella,"?dropped to fourth spot, followed by "Big Hero 6".
Openers this coming weekend will include the long-delayed China co-production "Outcast" starring Nicolas Cage, as well as Wu Jing's controversial film "Wolf Warriors."
