Popular annual event promotes not only English but whole range of other communication skills

An English speaking competition that has been held annually for two decades has helped forge a good atmosphere for language study and public speaking on campuses throughout China, said English teaching experts.

The final round of this year's "21st Century Cup" National English Speaking Competition will be held at Beijing Foreign Studies University over the weekend.
