The average daily amount in speeding fines collected on a section of National Highway 104 that runs through Luoyuan county in Fujian province, according to a report on the People's Daily website on Tuesday. Local police said the speed limit is 30 km per hour because of the road's long slope. Drivers say the road is good enough for them to drive at the normal speed of 60 kph, but doing so leads to fines of up to 1,500 yuan ($244).
