The GDP of the Tibet autonomous region is estimated to have grown 12 percent year-on-year in 2012 to 70.1 billion yuan ($11.25 billion), according to a statement released on Friday after a meeting that focused on the economy of the region. If the estimation proves correct, it will mark the 20th consecutive year that the region's GDP has registered double-digit growth.
