Understated yet cozy(That's Shanghai)Updated: 2007-03-08 09:37 Golden Atrium or Jin Ding Yi Ping is nestled in an area of unfinished buildings in Lujiazui. Inside the doors of this impressive, old brick, two-story villa, guests can dine in one of the twelve private dining rooms. Decoration is minimal, a smattering of landscape paintings, but the environment is well-suited to the cuisine, which is to say refined. The fare consists of à la carte offerings, as well as set lunch (RMB 98-258) and dinner menus (RMB 380-1,080 plus surcharge). Gang dian tao can (dim sum set menu, RMB 98 per person) consists of soup, four dim sum choices, soup, dessert and fruit, prepared in the style of nouvelle Chinoise with the focus on quality ingredients. Golden Atrium is an ideal destination for business clients or out-of-town guests, where the understated atmosphere and attentive service are sure to please. Golden Atrium |
