The emperor's clones at the Shaanxi Pavilion

Luo Yao (R) and Yang Jing (L), who were selected to resemble Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) and his consort Yang Yuhuan, greet visitors to the Shaanxi Pavilion along with two mimic robots made to resemble the emperor and his wife on August 9, 2010. The robots are programmed to deliver greetings and recite the long narrative poem, The Song of Everlasting Sorrow, which tells the romantic story of Yang Yuhuan. The performance aims to give visitors a slice of royal life in the Tang Dynasty and has been a huge draw at the Shaanxi province pavilion. [Photo/Xinhua]
