KATHMANDU - Chinese civil mountaineers encountered bad weather in Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters) after they summited the seventh highest mountain Wednesday, but one climber died and four others were severely injured.

The eight mountaineers encountered fog when they were descending from the summit on Wednesday morning. Climber Libin from southern Shenzhen died and four others were injured.

They are the first civil mountaineers from China to climb Dhaulagiri.

The Chinese Embassy in Nepal has sent two helicopters and a professional team to rescue them.
