China's companies optimistic boost in e-Sport

BEIJING -- China National Cyber Game (CNCG) and Tencent Dayan Net have agreed to set up an industrial chain focused on e-Sports.

The two sides launched the "Huayan T3 Project" here on Wednesday to develop various fields concerning e-Sports including games, venue construction, education, training, leisure Sports, E-sport standardization and association establishment.

According to a report released by Social media and online gaming giant Tencent, China e-Sports games have engaged 170 million people in the year of 2016 and the number will reach 220 million in 2017.

The vice-president of CNCG Wei Weige said, "This joint event of Huayan T3 Project, the full scale cooperation of CNCG and Tencent AI enhanced Cyber game venues especially, will create a huge positive impact on the bio-environment of Chinese Cyber game industry, expand the business space and create more fresh business models."
