Domestic trade cargo throughput was 220 million tons, up 12 percent, and foreign trade cargo throughput increased by 9.9 percent. In the first three quarters, the container throughput of the city's ports hit 7.2 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), a year-on-year increase of 23.3 percent. Foreign trade container output accounted for 52.5 percent, up 8.9 percent.
