A special beauty contest has been held for dairy cattle on March 4, 2013 at Da Wuzhuang village, Sun Zhao town, Xin Cai county, Zhu Madian city, Henan province.

After meticulous judgment from livestock experts, cattle belonging to Wu Jincai, Wei Xiaoxin and Gao Pinyou were crowned the top three beauties. The farmers received cash prizes.

Authorities from the village are providing 2000 yuan ($321.40) per cow for farmers who feed more than five cows. The cash incentive has been introduced to aid the development of the rural economy and to encourage the use of organic feed.
