As temperatures rise in the early days of spring, visitors can enjoy the spectacular scenery of delicate rime formations within the indoor rime ice laboratory at the Jilin Beishan Four Seasons Cross-country Ski Park in Jilin city, Jilin province.

Rime, a unique type of frost resembling granular tufts of ice, forms under specific conditions of temperature and humidity. For example, when warm water vapor from a river meets the cold air above, it creates beautiful rime formations on nearby trees.
