Over the recently concluded Spring Festival holiday spanning from Jan 28 through Feb 4, the popularity of venues related to archaeology and cultural relics, such as museums, archaeological ruins parks, and cultural and creative markets, continued to soar.

According to the National Cultural Heritage Administration, from Jan 29 to Feb 4, museums nationwide received 72.65 million visits in total, averaging over 10 million visits per day. This marked a 12.84 percent increase compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the 55 national archaeological ruins parks received 5.17 million visits.

In Shaanxi, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Guangdong provinces, over 5 million visits to museums were respectively recorded during the holiday.

Government bodies have worked to meet people's spiritual and cultural needs by guiding museums, memorial halls and archaeological ruins parks across the country to make good use of their collections, integrate resources from various institutes, enhance management capabilities, strengthen service provision, and launch various themed exhibitions and activities.
