On Jan 8, the Spring Festival Celebration for the Year of the Snake commenced with a launch ceremony held at the Irish National Botanic Gardens in Dublin, Ireland.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Dublin Mayor Emma Blain and Minister Counsellor Yang Tong from the Chinese Embassy in Ireland.

Yang highlighted the significance of the Spring Festival being recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, showcasing China's rich traditional culture and values of harmony with nature and peace among people. Blain expressed her anticipation for the upcoming Spring Festival.

Since 2008, Dublin City Hall has been hosting the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival annually. The 2025 Dublin Spring Festival Celebration will run from Jan 25 to Feb 2, offering the Irish public a diverse and colorful cultural experience of the Spring Festival. Additionally, on the same day, the official website of the celebration released New Year greetings from guests including Irish President Michael Higgins.
