The 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide was released on Jan 6, featuring a total of 370 restaurants from 34 cities worldwide. Among them, Xiamen has six restaurants listed, comprising a two-diamond restaurant and five one-diamond restaurants.

The Black Pearl Restaurant Guide selects restaurants based on the criteria of culinary excellence, service environment, and heritage innovation. Anonymous judges, acting as ordinary diners, visit restaurants to rate and evaluate them, forming the primary basis for the rankings. The guide aims to present an annual "Chinese cuisine list" to the public, showcasing the best in the industry.

Xiamen excels in using local seafood, infusing the flavors of Minnan (southern Fujian) with unique soy sauce, satay sauce, and shrimp paste.

The restaurants in Xiamen selected for the 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide are Yanyu Fujian (Xinjing Center), XIA Restaurant of Lohkah Hotel, Chic 1699, Xian Xiong Qi (Houjiangdai Road), RAN THE CHEF'S TABLE, and Wuwei Natural Food (Island Ring Boulevard).
