China Pastry Cup invites entries from chefs
The fifth China Pastry Cup is now open for entries, inviting Chinese pastry chefs to showcase their creativity and expertise in the art of dessert making.
Launched in 2017, the event has grown into one of the most prestigious competitions in China's pastry industry, attracting top talent from across the nation. It celebrates craftsmanship and innovation, offering chefs a platform to demonstrate their skills and gain recognition on a larger stage.
This year's competition features two categories: sugar showpiece and traveling chocolate cake and chocolate showpiece with plated dessert. Chefs are required to submit photos of their pastry creations online by Dec 30.
The competition also serves as the Chinese regional qualifier for the 19th World Pastry Cup. Winners will form Team China and advance to the 2026 Asian Pastry Cup in Singapore. Success there will secure a spot in the 2027 World Pastry Cup in Lyon, France, where elite pastry chefs from around the globe compete for the ultimate accolade in the industry.
By nurturing local talent and connecting them to international opportunities, the China Pastry Cup continues to elevate the status of Chinese pastry artistry on the global stage.
