At his solo show in Beijing, Boundless Heart's Realm, Daniel Liau Wee Seng from Malaysia presents a world marked with carefree lines and vibrant colors to reflect his diverse background. The paintings on show reveal his longtime study of oil art, and meanwhile an absorption of the spontaneous methods of drawing lines in Chinese calligraphy and ink painting.

Employing highly expressive strokes, he examines people's mentalities under pressure deriving from social problems. He uses a strong contrast of colors to express an eruption of mixed feelings of people in a time of rapid change.

The exhibition is at Today Art Museum until Sunday.
