Youth education confab wraps up in Beijing
The 3rd Forum on Young People's Sustainable Development, which brought together over 200 attendees from more than 20 countries and regions, concluded on Saturday in Beijing.
Organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Center for Young People, the two-day event sought to create a high-level, international platform for extracurricular education cooperation and exchange through keynote speeches, presentations, roundtable forums, workshops and a showcase of educational achievements, fostering innovation in the youth sustainable development education system.
Ren Haifeng, deputy director of the center, stated that the forum was started to create a platform for global educators, and by enhancing international cooperation and sharing resources, its goal is to drive the integration of global educational concepts. The platform is designed to address common global educational challenges and train a new generation of young people with international perspectives and global competencies.
The event included the launch of the Future Academy for Sustainable Development Education, which is based on the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity and promoting youth participation in sustainable development.
