AI robotics company makes official debut
Mech-Mind Robotics, a unicorn company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) robotics, made its official debut and commenced operations in Xiong'an New Area, North China's Hebei province on Thursday, injecting fresh momentum into the area's burgeoning AI industry.
Founded in 2016 in Beijing, the company has swiftly ascended to become a prominent high-tech enterprise at the forefront of the global AI and robotics sectors, according to Shao Tianlan, founder and CEO of Mech-Mind Robotics Technologies Co.
Shao said the company focuses on industrial 3D cameras and AI-powered software for intelligent robotics.
He added that the relocation of the company's headquarters from Beijing to Xiong'an was motivated by the area's good location, comprehensive AI industry planning, robust infrastructure, talent incentives and favorable business environment.
Located about 100 kilometers southwest of downtown Beijing, Xiong'an was established in 2017, dubbed as a future city with innovation and intelligence being two outstanding cards.
Local officials highlighted the area's strategic emphasis on key directions within the AI industry, such as vertical large models and applied large models, with the establishment of multiple platforms.
