Measures in place for attracting optimized services talent
A slew of innovative measures for attracting talents with optimized services were announced on Monday to promote the high-quality development of Shanghai's Changning district, according to official sources.
These measures included launching the overseas talent service partner program, upgrading existing service center for overseas talents, providing accommodation support, and simplified government services and creative solutions, according to a forum held on Monday.
During the launch ceremony of the district's overseas talent service partner program, the first batch of ten overseas talent service partners were named, and they will serve to create an open, inclusive and mutual beneficially platform for international talent exchanges.
With the enhancement of the talent service center, officially known as Shanghai Hongqiao One-stop Service Center for Overseas Talents, talents home and abroad can better have their needs met with higher efficiency and more optimized services.
To better facilitate the living requirements of talents home and abroad, the district government vowed to offer one to three months free accommodation for eligible high-end talents, as well as set aside talent apartments and provide leasing subsidy for qualified talents.
"Being an important gateway for Shanghai, we always regard talents as the most critical strategic resources, so we are creating an innovative, dynamic and high-efficient environment for all kinds of talents," said Zhang Wei, Party chief of Shanghai's Changning district.
