Yangzhou completes its power supply maintenance
State Grid Yangzhou Power Supply Company said on Wednesday that it has completed the maintenance of the 500 kilovolt Yizheng Electric Substation in Jiangsu province, marking another comprehensive maintenance after six years.
The company said the move is aimed at enhancing the safety and reliability of the grid, as the demand for electricity has continuously increased due to rapid socio-economic development, especially in East China's Jiangsu province, whose GDP ranked second last year. A more reliable and stable grid network will also lay a solid foundation for the transmission of power during winter, a period with peak power demand.
To guarantee the quality and efficiency of the maintenance, State Grid Yangzhou Power Supply Company developed a new quality control mechanism that had pre- and post-repair data comparisons add to the existing process, enabling effective monitoring of equipment maintenance.
