Beijing lights: a journey through cinema and culture
Hao Jie, deputy director of the Beijing International Film Festival Committee, along with guests from China and abroad, reflected on the Beijing International Film Festival's journey since its inception in 2011.
They shared the triumphs and accomplishments of the 14th edition of the festival, a testament to its commitment to excellence and its dedication to bridging cultures through the art of cinema.
"After 14 years of development, the BIFF had emerged as a pivotal platform for exchange between the Chinese film circle and the world," Hao said. "Last month, the 14th BIFF was concluded with great success. Over the course of nine days, the festival hosted over 200 events, drawing filmmakers, exhibitors and media representatives from 123 countries and regions worldwide."
"With its enhanced international stature, professionalism and influence, the festival showcased the beauty of cultural diversity and contributed to the mutual prosperity of global cultures—a radiant celebration of light and shadow," she said.
