China Storyteller Partnerships ? Watch Chinese Operas

It's a Chinese tradition to watch an opera in the first lunar month (Zheng Yue in Chinese). During the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon, China Daily Multimedia invited Australian content creator, Robert Williams, and Tunisian exchange student, Hadhri Sana, to experience the unique charm of Chinese opera up close. At the Meilanfang Theater in Beijing, they observed from backstage Kunqu Opera performers putting on makeup and costumes, learned Kunqu Opera lines and vocal techniques, and watched Chunxiang Naoxue, an episode of the classic Kunqu Opera piece, The Peony Pavilion.
