For 13 years, the Beijing Times Art Museum has staged its annual benefit art exhibition that promotes China's ethnic culture and arts, as part of the Public Welfare·Cloud program of its parent company Bloomage Biotech.

This year, the museum spotlighted Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region by presenting Domain? Plot? Field: An Encounter of Road and Culture mid-December.

With total mileage exceeding 7,000 kilometers, the museum's curatorial team traveled multiple times to Xinjiang, visiting local museums, artists, craftsmen, and intangible cultural heritage inheritors for research.

Co-curated by Chen Baoyang, an artist and teacher at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Zhao Yan, founder and director of the museum, the exhibit brings together around 60 multi-media artworks by 11 artists that invite visitors to have an intellectual and intimate dialogue with Xinjiang, a hub of the ancient Silk Road and a treasure trove of ethnic cultures.

The exhibition runs until Feb 27, 2024.
