The Beijing Cultural Creativity Competition was launched on Oct 26 and will end after two rounds in December.

Divided into five categories, including creative products based on traditional Chinese culture and digitalized cultural products, the competition will give out 66 awards, as well as a special prize for college students.

The category for new performing art spaces seeks to encourage new scripts. With the capital opening more new performing arts spaces, new pieces are needed for audiences.
