Gender stereotype breaker

Payal Desai, a style vlogger living in Texas, United States, has recently gained popularity for her unique and inspiring TikTok videos. In these videos, she educates her boys on the qualities of being a good partner and good person while breaking down traditional gender stereotypes.

Desai is a teacher and the mother of two sons, one is seven years old and the other is three. She has taken the bold initiative to instruct her boys about the importance of respecting their future partners. She named this video series "No Dusty Sons", which delves into various aspects, from daily activities to fundamental insights about women that are often overlooked by men.

For example, Desai has told her sons about the importance of completing basic life tasks, such as packing their travel luggage, instead of solely relying on a partner. She has also explained to them the significance of understanding that when a girl says "no", it unequivocally means "no".

Currently, the series has released a total of 57 episodes. Among them, the most popular one has garnered over 10 million views. In this episode, Desai teaches her son the importance of openly communicating his emotions when upset, and to avoid "impulsive outbursts" that may affect his partner's well-being.

While the majority of feedback Desai has received has been positive and appreciative, there have been some who have criticized her for provoking gender opposition. However, for Desai, her mission is clear: She is determined to break "generational cycles" of "toxic masculinity".

"I'm teaching them to be good humans and good partners... I choose to do the only thing that I have in my power, which is to initiate change in my home with my boys," she said in one of her videos.
